ENVIRONMENTAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT SEMINAR
JANUARY 24, 2019

3.0 CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION CREDITS AVAILABLE

Article I, Section 27 of the Pennsylvania Constitution - the Environmental Rights Amendment or “ERA” - has been the focus of much discussion in the wake of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decisions in Robinson Township v. The Commonwealth and PEDF v. The Commonwealth. This session will take a deep dive into the ERA, the Court’s holdings in Robinson Township and PEDF, including what was and was not decided in those cases, and reactions of state and local government, non-governmental organizations and regulated communities. The panel also will focus on issues that require further consideration under the ERA and how the regulated community should approach them.
