This overview course will examine how to manage these challenges. Through real life examples, discussions, and guest speakers, you will come away with valuable tools to improve the chances of building a successful startup. This class is highly interactive.

Kayvan Alikhani, Co-founder and CEO of PassBan, and Former CEO of Litescape Technologies
Kayvan Alikhani is the Founder of Passban, which was recently acquired by RSA. PassBan created Passboard, the mobile device solution for securing devices and websites. Prior to founding PassBan, Kayvan was the CTO and CEO of Litescape Technologies. Kayvan has over 20 years of experience in software product development in telecommunications and other technology industries. He holds a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from Tehran University.
Hal Friedman, Partner at Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen & Co., LLP CPA's
For the past 30 years, Hal has been working as a tax professional and lawyer serving the greater Palo Alto area. His practice experience spans all areas of taxation including closely held corporations and their shareholders, individuals, expatriates and nonresident aliens, and professional practices. Hal holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School.
Douglas Y. Park
Douglas Y. Park specializes in problems that cut across corporate governance, corporate and securities law, and strategy. As a Partner at Rimon, PC, he helps entrepreneurs, companies, boards, and investors address complex situations that implicate both business and legal issues. He has taught Starting Startups and Mergers and Acquisitions at Stanford University. Doug received a PhD in Business from Stanford Graduate School of Business, AB from Harvard College, and a JD from University of Michigan Law School.
