Description

Join us for the EF Impact Awards where we will announce, and celebrate, the most generous and impactful member companies in Austin!

And, kicking off our annual Spring Service Week: Hydrating Austin, Mayor Steve Adler (City of Austin) and Dr. Robert Mace(Texas Nature Conservancy, Meadows Center for Water and the Environment) will speak to the water issues we face in the next 20 years.

There will be light bites from The Peached Tortilla, happy hour beverages including a special Susto Mezcal margarita, and plenty of time to mingle with entrepreneurs, team members, investors, and friends.

Schedule:

  • 5pm: Happy Hour
  • 6pm: Opening Remarks and Keynote
  • 6:30pm: Awards Celebration Begins
  • 7:30pm: Evening Close

The Entrepreneurs Foundation is celebrating our 20 year anniversary (1999-2019) and this will be an evening of recognition for the members who have supported and championed for EF's mission of promoting philanthropy and community engagement, while helping entrepreneurs build corporate cultures that contribute to their business success.

Companies will be able to submit their philanthropic engagement in 2018 (or the last 15 months) and submissions will be scored based on number of volunteer hours, financial support to nonprofits, and impact. There will be categories for small, medium, and large company sizes. We encourage all EF members to share their philanthropic data so we can celebrate the incredible giving towards the Austin community. Awards will include Company of the Year, the Impact Award, and Austinite of the Year. EF member, Blackbaud, is graciously sponsoring and hosting in their Austin home at the Domain.

If you'd like your team to be considered, please submit your information here by May 1st: https://form.jotform.com/91043927249158

About the Entrepreneurs Foundation Spring Service Week:

This year’s Service Week is May 20-24, 2019. Just as water is essential to life, water is vital to our community in Austin. As the Texas Demographic Center predicts Austin’s population is expected to nearly quadruple by 2050, development and urbanization of Central Texas is expanding rapidly, and climate change is creating increasingly extreme conditions, it is time to take a look into how we interact with our water sources and natural ecology, and how we are conserving and preserving our supply for the future.

We are coordinating with the following nonprofits (list in formation):

  • Lower Colorado River Authority
  • Austin Parks Foundation
  • Barton Springs Conservancy
  • The Trail Foundation
  • Keep Austin Beautiful
  • Austin Youth River Watchers
  • Colorado River Alliance
  • Well Aware

Spring Service Week’s volunteer days includes hands-on opportunities paired with a fun, informative breakfasts to jump start the day. You and your teams can volunteer on Tuesday, May 21 through Friday, May 24 - activities range from immersive outdoor tasks such as creek restorations, invasive species removal/native plantings around our most important bodies of water, and more to in-office activities that will benefit the nonprofit organizations stewarding our water resources. There are a variety of options to meet volunteer comfort levels. Each day will be tentatively scheduled for 8:30am-2:30pm (with lunch included, as well!).

If you'd like your team to join us for Spring Service Week, please contact Caitlyn Conner at caitlyn@efctx.org for more information!
