Come join us Thursday, November 3rd at the 2016 kickoff party for Emory Entrepreneurship & Venture Management't annual event, HackATL! This year, we're hosting everyone at Tongue & Groove!
Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Emory Entrepreneurship & Venture Management in helping fund future events.
WHAT IS EMORY ENTREPRENEURSHIP & VENTURE MANAGEMENT (EEVM)?
Emory Entrepreneurship & Venture Management is Emory's first campus-wide organization that directly promotes an entrepreneurial atmosphere on campus. EEVM was founded in May 2013 and since then, has become the fastest growing organization at Emory by hosting events like Startup Crunch, Innovation Series and HackATL.
Last year, we saw over 750 students, mentors and investors come together from around the world to build the next big thing. When the smoke cleared, two teams received an investment of $100,000! This year, teams made up of student hackers, hustlers and hipsters again come together to to create and pitch a business to real investors in hopes of winning one of the large prizes!
ABOUT THE VENUE (TONGUE & GROOVE)
Tongue & Groove opened its doors in 1995 and has remained a staple of Atlanta nightlife ever since. Located a mere 3.1 miles from Emory campus, Tongue & Groove serves as one of Emory's favorite off-campus entertainment venues.
HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS?
Please contact Brendan at (310) 845-5460.
Do I have to participate in HackATL to come to this event?
Absolutely not! We encourage everyone, regardless of what you are involved in, to come join the party!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You must be at least 18 to enter. Those 21+ will be issued a wristband so that they can easily be identified as being of age by the bartenders. We strongly reccomend purchasing tickets in advance, as the price at the door is $20 for 21+ and $30 for 18+.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
We highly encourage you to Uber or Lyft, but if you do choose to drive, we have several parking options. Valet parking is available in front of the venue for $8 + tip; while deck parking is available (if you consume too much to drive, you can leave it overnight, too) which is charged based on how long your car is there, but it maxes out at $14.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Your ticket is transferrable, but can only be used once. We will have QR Code scanners at the door to check you in.
