One very vital reason for becoming an entrepreneur is that you aren't tied down to a certain yearly salary. When you own your own business, you can generate your own income level. If you decide to work hard, work smart and perhaps work longer hours, you will reward yourself with more money. You also learn to appreciate a dollar's value more when you earn the money yourself. You must understand that when you are an entrepreneur, if you turn in a bad performance, then you will not earn much money. This will keep you motivated to do your best.

I have been a hairdresser for the last 19 years here in San Jose and have educated for various color and product lines. I am Paris Hilton's Dream Catcher extension line's rep. for San Jose, and I have developed my own extension line called “X-tensions.”
I also established the nonprofit Apprentice Sponsorship program starting with the field of Cosmetology in 2009 called "Career Style". I specialize and educate in Cutting, Coloring, Straightening, and Extension techniques. Through this program you learn how to pass your state board exam to obtain your Cosmetology license while you get paid to learn. When you Apprentice you build your on the job skills and clientele while you learn. The day you pass your exam you are no longer a student, but a licensed professional.
