Entre Puntadas/Between Stitches: re/membering Frida Workshop - SAN JOSE, CA

Participants screen print one of three images on a canvas bag, cure it and then proceed to embellish the bag with basic embroidery stitches. The workshop will last 3 hours. During stitch time, we'll talk about Frida's life, her love of embroidery and how practicing traditional arts is connected to community action. Folks get to take home a screen printed tote embroidered by them, and the embroidery hoop they used, engraved with a Frida Kahlo quote. Beginners welcomed. Ages 10 + and up.
