After months of adventures with archeologists, construction teams, structural engineers, and with the help of our much appreciated architects Sandy Brunner and Maria Puebla Escola, and interior designer Chole millet COR 23 is now ready to open our doors.
We welcome you to the inauguration of our hidden COR 23 Art Gallery, that is nestled inside a Co-Working space in El Borne- one of Barcelona’s most dynamic neighborhoods. Please join us on December 15th, 2016 at 7 PM as our gallery debuts with the Scapes exhibition by well known artist Mareo Rodriguez and plenty of other surprises.
Mareo Rodriguez born in 1981 conceives the matter, topography and natural territory as a living being in constant motion; Epidermal construction carved and worn by time, with a rhythm and a telluric language of frequencies and forces emerging, pressing, gravitating, revealing through the landscape. He seeks to cover different scales within his artistic approach, from the massiveness of the mountains and rocks, to the process of fragmentation, the stone as the basic unit. He is interested in the matter wears away over time, with scars and marks, which is rolling, shedding, lightening weight to reconnect with its origin.
