Event description

Description

A day of discussions in an informal format focused on the issues, benefits, and challenges of the application of distributed ledger technology across the spectrum of cases in business, law, government, smart cities, transportation & logistics, and other sectors.

Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies have captured interest and investment from all corners of the globe. The technologies have gained in popularity as a way to trade value securely and "anonymously" without any centralized control. The growth in media attention has generated enormous interest, spurring questions, and discussion of how these technologies work, how their value can be harnessed. Arguably one of the biggest impacts has yet to be fully felt; how the technology can be applied to increase trust and transparency in business and government.

Enterprise Blockchain Camp provides a space for attendees who range from those curious about how it applies to business, perhaps theirs, to Senior-level software architects, and thinkers building and envisioning the future of the technology. However, the theme of the day will be focused on the application of these technologies in the context of business, government, law, cybersecurity, and others of a growing list of applications testing distributed ledgers and decentralized models. The best part is that the attendees create the agenda and vote with their feet!

Enterprise Blockchain Camp is a participant-driven unconference event taking place Sunday, September 8th from 9 AM - 5:30 PM. Open space "Unconference“ events provide a venue for the attendees to drive the content of an event organized in this way. Attendees will meet and greet, post subjects for talk/session/demo/facilitated and then break out during the six session blocks. Meals are provided and special diets will be accommodated to the extent possible.
