Description

The Diocese of Toledo will offer a day-long conference titled Ensuring Human Dignity: Addressing Modern Cultural Realities for Catholic Leaderson Monday, January 22, 2018 at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron, Ohio.

Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:00 am. The conference will start sharply at 9:00 am. The morning sessions will include keynote presentations from Father Philip Bochanski, Executive Director of Courage International and Deacon Patrick Lappert, MD, a retired US Navy captain and board-certified plastic surgeon who has spoken throughout the nation on Christian anthropology and transgendered issues. Prior to lunch, the Diocese will present new policies for Child and Youth Protection and Vulnerable Adults. The afternoon sessions will include specific break-out groups for those individuals involved in Catholic education, pastoral care, and parish practices and policy. A question-and-answer panel discussion will conclude the day, which will end by 4:30 pm.

The cost of the conference is $50 per person until December 31, 2017. Late registration after December 31, 2017 increases to $60. Registration closes January 5, 2018.
