Event description

Description

This workshop is open to dancers with experience in contemporary dance, theatre, improvisation, and contact improvisation. Yoga, clowning and release technique are great too. The workshop is designed for Dancing the Parenting participants to push their collective improvisation skills further, without the presence of their child, so that the group is stronger when children are present.

After a short warm-up, we will explore Ensemble Thinking practice. I am currently formally training with the Lower Left Collective to become certified as an Ensemble Thinking teacher/facilitator and use this set of tools extensively in my choreographic practice.

"Ensemble Thinking (ET) is a system of collaborative group performance practices. These compositional exercises refine the individual’s ability to perceive, initiate, and support collective action. (...)" http://www.ensemblethinking.com/

*The studio is ground floor with double door accessibility and washroom adjacent.
