Event description

Description

Join us for an evening of wine and food inspired by art! One of Italy’s great chefs, Enrico Crippa, is bringing the Michelin 3 star cuisine of Piazza Duomo to San Francisco to cook alongside chefs Blaine Wetzel (The Willows Inn on Lummi Island), Daniel Patterson (DPG), Belinda Leong (b. Patisserie), Brandon Rodgers (In Situ), and Corey Lee (Benu).

The event begins at 6:00PM with a reception, and dinner starts at 7:00PM. Taking a cue from Chef Enrico and the artist residency program at Ceretto, each chef is preparing a course inspired by a specific work of art. You won't want to miss this celebration of creativity and collaboration!

All wines will be provided by Ceretto, including the Barolo Cannubi San Lorenzo – their rarest Barolo, aged ten years and never before served in the US.

Admission includes all food and wines. Please note that due to the nature of the event, dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated, and guests will be grouped into large tables.

ABOUT CHEF ENRICO CRIPPA

Enrico Crippa was born in Carate Brianza in 1971. A graduate of the Hotel School of Mount Olimpino in Como, he began his career at age 16 as an apprentice in Gualtiero Marchesi’s historic Milanese restaurant. From there, he went on to work with some of the best chefs in Europe: Christian Willer, Gislaine Arabian, Antoine Westermann, Michel Bras, Ferran Adria. In 1996, he moved to Japan for three years, working at Gualtiero Marchesi's restaurant in Kobe and the Rhiga Royal Hotel in Osaka.

In 2003, collaborating with the Ceretto family, he opened Piazza Duomo where he continues to serve his cuisine based on the harmony of the finest Italian ingredients, presented in the most elaborate and precise manner.

He has maintained three Michelin stars since 2012 and has been listed as one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants since 2013 – currently at #15. In 2017, he became President of the Bocuse d'Or Italian Academy and was awarded the Grand Prix de l'Art de la Cuisine by the International Academy of Gastronomy.
