Have a research topic in mind and looking for a global collaborator? Are you interested in learning best practices in global research collaboration from an experienced research manager? This Research Connection Symposium will bring EU and US researchers and research managers together to engage in an effective dialogue to establish and strengthen transatlantic research collaborations. This year's symposium will coincide with NCURA’s Annual Meeting in August in Washington, D.C. During the symposium, EU researchers will be able to present their work and define their research needs to the potential US partners. Come to this research match-making reception to find your next transatlantic research project partners! In fact, invite your current global research partners along to kick start the next step of your project.

This match-making symposium will be attended by researchers and research administrators from both sides of the Atlantic to explore the following types of transportation research topics:

  • Health and Pharma
  • ICT
  • Energy and Green Economy
  • Cultural Heritage
  • Transportation

By the end of the symposium, the outcomes will be one or more of the following:

  1. You will have found an international partner for your research project
  2. You will have formulated a new project idea with your existing global partners
  3. You will have met someone who has inspired you in your research pathway
  4. You will have a tailored proposal checklist for your next grant proposal
  5. You will have met and connected with at least one funding agency representatives
