Description

How can agricultural extension services better address the needs of women and men farmers, while ensuring better nutrition practices? What does professionalization of extension services for better performance of the sector look like?

Join us this March 13 -15, 2018 in Kampala, Uganda to deliberate with stakeholders and beneficiaries on Promoting Gender Responsive, Nutrition Sensitive and Professional AEAS in Uganda

Hosted by the Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS), Integrating Gender and Nutrition within Agricultural Extension Services (INGENAES) project, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), in partnership with the Developing Local Extension Capacity (DLEC) project and Lutheran World Relief (LWR), this highly participatory symposium will bring together thought leaders, government actors, donors, practitioners, academicians, private-sector organizations, and NGOs to deliberate on what has worked, build on what is working and strengthen the enabling environment for promoting gender responsive, nutrition sensitive and professional AEAS in Uganda.

BUILDING ON WHAT WORKS. Building capacity of AEAS actors to better respond to male and female farmers' (young and old) needs for food, nutrition and income security.
