CEUs
Continuing Education Unit - Unfortunately, CEUs will not be given out at the conference. The committee decided that since it was a very diverse group of professionals with different accrediting associations, it would be too cumbersome for them to take on. Certificates of attendance will be handed out.

Early bird pricing - register before Feb. 1 and save!

Conference is a collaboration of:

The Attachment Network of Connecticut
The Connecticut Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology
The Yale Child Study Center

Why a conference on Attachment?

Attachment relationships are fundamental: they influence the social, emotional, cognitive and behavioral adjustment of all individuals. Attachment patterns are established early in childhood and become the model of each person’s particular disposition towards relating to others. When our attachment relationships are disturbed, it can impact all areas of functioning. Understanding the role of attachment in relationships can enhance the effectiveness of all who work with children, adolescents, adults, families and communities.

Who might benefit from a conference on Attachment?

Clinicians, teachers and other school personnel, child-care providers, pediatricians, and those who work in various roles in the community can benefit from understanding how secure attachments are cultivated. Interventions that support secure attachment not only may enhance mental health, they also provide novel strategies to address behavioral difficulties.
