Event Details

The Enhanced Triple P Provider Training teaches practitioners to provide family interventions which address family factors that may impact, and complicate, the task of parenting. These include problems with parental mood and adjustment and partner conflict. Typically families access Level 5 Enhanced interventions after completion of a Level 4 intervention.

Enhanced Triple P consists of a review interview which involves a brief assessment of progress to date, three stand alone modules, and a closure session. The three modules consist of a maximum of three 60-90 minute sessions.

Pathways Triple P is a comprehensive parenting intervention for parents at risk of maltreating their children. Training to deliver this intervention is recommended for professionals who in the course of their duties regularly consult with parents at risk of maltreating their children, and have the capacity to deliver an extended group or individual program.

Pathways includes components addressing risk factors commonly encountered with maltreating parents, such as anger control problems and attributional biases.

Practitioners must have previously completed one of the following courses: Standard, Standard Teen, Standard Stepping Stones, Group, Group Teen, or Group Stepping Stones Triple P.

The Enhanced and Pathways Level 5 Training Course consists of attendance at a 3-day training program, and two (2) half-day accreditation workshops with demonstration of knowledge and competence in program delivery through a skills-based process.

First 5 Shasta

The passage of Proposition 10, the California Children and Families Act, in 1998 established a unique revenue stream dedicated to enhancing and improving the lives of California's youngest residents. First 5 Shasta is one of 58 California county commissions to receive and invest Proposition 10 revenues. Since its inception, First 5 Shasta has invested more than $25 million in local programs, activities, and services.  The results include greater kindergarten readiness, higher quality child care programs, and increased access to health and dental care for young children.
