Engraving Metal with a Roland Endmill

This class will teach you to take a simple graphic design and fabricate it on a flat copper. The Roland MDX-15 CNC will be used to mill and engrave the design. Materials, and tools will be provided (already included in ticket) in a open structured learning plan. Due to a limited number of workstations for designing, and one CNC machine the class will be limited to 5 people max
you would learn how to:
Process the CAM job for Roland output
load a PCB for milling
operate the mill
trim, edge finish pieces.
Project ideas will be provided. Most projects and ideas welcome.
you need to have some design skills with graphics.

About the instructor: Paul Hardin has been working with glass, recycled glass and LED lighting effects with a concentration on fusing and casting large flat works.
