Event description
Englewood Leadership Symposium aims to bring together leaders in an effort to explore current issues within communities like Englewood.

About this Event

The Resident Association of Greater Englewood (R.A.G.E) is excited to host the inaugural Englewood Leadership Symposium that aims to bring together leaders from across the Greater Englewood community and Chicago in an effort to explore current issues and community development opportunities that impact and shape the economy and quality of life in our communities. Leaders will have a chance to share information from their perspective organizations and build a stronger community network. The purpose is to engage leaders in the important work of reflection, relationship cultivation and rejuvenation. During this conference, attendees will take a deeper dive and dialogue to bridge the gap between what leaders and communities envision and what they could actually achieve collectively.

Two of our dynamic leaders who will open and close the symposium will be State Representative of the 6th District, Sonya Harper and Dr. Rami Nashashibi, you don't want to miss them!

Each of the sessions or workshops will be focused on Building Leaders, Building Community and Building Bridges.

Here is a sneak peek of a few sessions to look forward to -

  • "Dedication" - This will be a moderated discussion with past leaders who will share their wisdom and guidance with emerging leaders.
  • "Speak Up with Confidence " - A breakout workshop facilitated by Greater Englewood Toastmaster Club to assist leaders with public speaking and other leadership skills
  • "Get Money" - This panel discussion will share tools for leaders of small non-profits looking for practical tips to fundraising.

We will offer these and many more sessions that will provide tools for leaders, strategies to build community and tactics to build stronger partnerships. Join us as we build together.

Your registration fee will include breakfast, lunch, and access to all the sessions, workshops and entertainment. Reserve your spot today!

This event was made possible by the generous support of the Chicago Community Trust and the McCormick Foundation.
