Description

The HSR2018 Satellite Session: Engaging with Private Providers in Low and Middle Income Countries- Strengthening Quality of Care and Effective Regulation is a one day satellite session organized by the Private Sector in Health Thematic Working Group of Health Systems Global – at the 5th Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2018), Liverpool, UK.

We are keen to capitalize on the private sector being a key theme at HSR 2018 by bringing together researchers, policy makers and implementors with an interest in this topic, for a full day of discussion, debate and networking – around the very varied roles and implications of private sector participation in low and middle-income country (LMIC) health sectors. Key themes for our discussions will be “Strengthening Quality of Care”, “Effective Regulation” and “Change and Innovation in the Private Sector”.

The Satellite Session will:

  • Allow in-depth knowledge sharing and discussion on private sector engagement mechanisms in LMICs

  • Provide a networking opportunity for implementers, policy makers and researchers in this field, developing our community and facilitating future collaboration

  • Develop research agendas for the field

Please register for HSR2018 before signing up for this satellite session.
