About this event

Maria D. McNish, MS CCC-SLP ASDCS is the founder of Advanced Therapy of America®, a center of excellence that works with children worldwide. With over 20 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Maria is excited to teach Early Intervention Therapists a toolbox of ideas to engage children with limited interactions and attention spans.

Maria is the creator of OccuSpeech®, a dynamic treatment approach that provides speech therapy in the context of sensory enriched environments. She is a Myofunctional Therapist trained by the IAOM ® and is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.

When early intervention therapists arrive to a home, they hope to find a child waiting who is excited and ready to play. But what if that child cries, is in constant movement, or avoids every activity that you try? This lecture provides ideas for all disciplines to make therapy fun and productive!
