This session is for College of Charleston faculty only.
Have you spent hours creating PowerPoint presentations to accompany your lectures, only to find that students don't seem engaged and rarely look up from their devices during class? Are you looking for a quick and easy solution? If so, Nearpod is the tool for you!
Nearpod is an all-in-one presentation and polling application that allows instructors to deliver interactive lectures to students by pushing content to students’ mobile devices. Instructors control the presentation while students follow along. With Nearpod, instructors can embed multiple choice questions, polls, videos, quizzes, open-ended questions, and web-links in their presentations. In this session, we will go over creating a Nearpod presentation using an existing PowerPoint presentation, adding interactive elements, and tracking student progess. For more information on Nearpod, visit http://www.nearpod.com.
After this session, you will be able to:
Upload existing PowerPoints into Nearpod
Add interactive elements to Nearpod presentations
Run interactive, synchronous lessons with your students
This session is for BEGINNERS.
