This one-day session is for school districts that may be considering recalibrating or making strategic revisions to their codes of conduct to incorporate a restorative and accountable approach to school discipline, student support, and the overall climate in schools. It will be led by senior staff from Engaging Schools, which conducted a program for the CCRESA last fall. Examples of codes of conduct from other schools will be shared along with opportunities to consider key areas for improvement. One example is from the Syracuse, NY Schools: Syracuse City Schools Code of Conduct, Character and Support. The intended audience is school personnel who have responsibility for developing district or school codes of conduct or who might be expected to participate in the development of such documents.
