Event Details

August 9th is the United Nations' World Indigenous Peoles Day. The theme of the day is "Indigenous peoples building alliances: Honouring treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements."

To honor the day, members of the Proud To Be Indigenous coalition - Cultural Survival, First Peoples Worldwide, International Indian Treaty Council (IITC) - are coming together to talk about a critical issue facing all Indigenous Peoples - Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC).

Join us August 9, 2013 at 11AM EST for an online panel disucssion, followed by a question and answer period. You can also follow the discussion on Twitter by following the hashtags #FPIC and #P2BI.
