Engage in Entrepreneurship: WBC Orientation and Web ResourceTraining

This class will introduce you to the Women’s Business Center at ODU Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and discuss available resources to help launch, grow and sustain your business.

You will gain insight on how our organization can help you achieve your goals, receive your first steps to starting and/or growing your business, and begin building your community of resources and support. This workshop will prepare you to communicate your business effectively and with confidence. Learn how to think through identifying your target market(s) and how to reach them, and determine where you need to focus your attention so you can start your entrepreneurial roadmap to success.

•    Learn about the WBC and the numerous resources available for women entrepreneurs

•    Get an overview of ODU Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship 

•    Learn to navigate the SBA website and utilize on-line tools and classes for business planning

•    Receive an introduction to DreamBuilder Business Creator Program

Our mission is to enable women's entrepreneurship by providing the tools for women to successfully own, operate and grow their small business, thereby creating economic opportunities and job growth by investing financially, intellectually and emotionally in the Hampton Roads community.

 

We are an advocate for women entrepreneurship. The Women's Business Center helps elevate women to business success through education, counseling, networking resources and entrepreneurial training.

 

Women's Business Center event costs and fees are non-refundable, but may be transferred to future training sessions.

 

All programs and services are provided on a nondiscriminatory basis. Reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities, including clients with Limited English Proficiency, will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.
