Overview

Enfield Wine Co.'s Winemaker John Lockwood  will guide the presentation of 5 Wine Pairings with 5 Customized Courses by Chef David Guas

An Exclusive Evening with Enfield Wine Co., Owner and Winemaker, John Lockwood + Chain Bridge Cellars

Join us for our Inaugural Wine Dinner with Enfield Wine Co. - an Intimate Exploration of California's Most Distinctive Terroir

Winemaker John Lockwood represents that dedicated few who find ways to craft captivating wine in the Napa Valley area without extensive resources or vineyard holdings. His journey from Washington D.C.—where his father practiced law and his mother crafted speeches—to California winemaker began far from vineyards. A passion for the nuanced flavors of hot sauces in high school evolved into an appreciation for wine at Bowdoin College, then blossomed into devotion during a transformative trip to the Bay Area.

This is winemaking as storytelling. Enfield Wine Co., the family project of John and Amy Seese, operates on the belief that the very best wines don't just strive for perfection, but to tell a unique story. Working exclusively with small vineyards and independent growers, every bottle reflects a distinct and powerful sense of place.

John will personally guide the dinner through five exceptional wines of varied varietals paired with an expertly crafted course menu by Chef David Guas. Selections, with ratings above a 95 score, will include the mineral-driven Chardonnay Citrine, 2023; the elegant Santa Maria Valley, Bien Nacido Vineyard Chardonnay, 2022; the aromatic Cabernet Franc, Sonoma Coast, 2022; the compelling Arroyo Grande Valley Syrah, Rancho Arroyo Grande Vineyard, 2022; and the structured Fort Ross - Seaview Cabernet Sauvignon, Waterhorse Ridge, Sonoma Coast, 2021. Each glass represents years of soil-first philosophy and natural fermentation, each vintage a chapter in an ongoing narrative of place and passion.

$150 per person, non-inclusive of gratuity
