Description

Energy for life

In physics, energy is the property that must be transferred to an object in order to

perform a task.

Many think that all we need is food and sleep - that these will give us the energy to

get by in life. What is often overlooked is the need for the energy that fills the mind

and heart with contentment, peace and stillness. The focus in today’s world is more

on satisfying gross, physical desires, which society tells us is more important.

Everything is energy. It is used and expended in many different ways. Let’s consider

how energy is used - in creating experiences, in natural circumstances, in directed

thinking and in exploring meditation practice.

Speaker: Paul Ryan has been a meditator for over 30 years and has taught and

lectured in many countries. He is an advisory teacher for young people with special

needs and is particularly interested in working with young people with sensory-

processing disorder. A qualified reflexologist, Paul tries to integrate touch into his

work and life, whenever possible. He has a simple philosophy about life which leads

him to experiment a lot, which is: if you always do what you have always done, you

will always get what you have always got.
