Due to increasingly stringent policy direction, public agencies that previously leveraged ratepayer-funded utility energy efficiency incentive programs to bridge funding gaps are meeting new obstacles. These incentive programs have provided critical support to local governments with great success, but increasingly burdensome documentation, expiring measures, and expanding delays in incentive review processes are threatening the momentum of energy efficiency projects in the public sector.

This webinar will serve as an educational forum for sharing dialogue among local government customers, energy efficiency program implementers, IOU program administrators and California Public Utilities Commission staff with the overall goal of communicating perspectives from all stakeholders.

Topics discussed will include:

  • The origins and evolution of efficiency programs and energy policy
  • Today's end-user experience, based on survey data from agencies who have leveraged ratepayer resources
  • The future direction of incentives and process

Speakers will include:

  • Nils Strindberg, Regulatory Analyst, CPUC Energy Division, California Public Utility Division
  • Chris Scott, Program Manager, Business Core & Finance Programs, Southern California Edison
  • Garrett Wong, Senior Sustainability Analyst, Climate & Energy, City of Santa Monica
  • John Rossi, PE, Program Manager, C&I Programs, TRC Solutions
  • Chris Ford, Project Manager, The Energy Coalition.

You can check out the agenda here. See you at the webinar!
