Learn how to save energy and reduce your carbon footprint through weatherization programs in your home.
About this event
Utility costs are one of the leading causes of homelessness and Dr. Katherine Hayhoe has stated that 60% of our carbon emissions could be cut through energy efficiency alone. Despite that, only 10 - 20% of the homes in Connecticut have been weatherized!
On Monday, April 25 at 7:00 pm, you will be able to learn more about how to make homes more energy efficient. You will learn about the weatherization process, as well as incentives and rebates for the standard program and the income eligible program. You will also receive tips on how to be a champion for energy efficiency in your community. We will also have a special focus on helping low and moderate income people, both homeowners and renters, access the programs.
Spanish interpretation will be available.
