Ending the Silence explores patriarchal and hierarchal structures in the church that foster the devaluing and demonizing of sex, women, and the LGBTQ community. The film challenges viewers to look beyond the church’s longstanding binary-based dogma and embrace the full spectrum of gender and sexuality.

Join Ending the Silence producer Leigh Finke, United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities professors, Jennifer Awes-Freeman and Justin Sabia-Tanis, and student Lucia Kalinosky for a film screening and interactive conversation about confronting sexual shame in the church.
