Commit Until You're Committed
Yoga from Star Trek said it best when he said “Try not! Do. Or do not. There is no try!” He was talking about commitment. “But Dave it’s Yod…” All sorts of wild an unexpected things that you have no control of happen in improv. But what you do have control over is your commitment. Remaining present, staying in character and buying into the ideas and reality that’s been established all help to make clear and confident choices to get you through any scene. What Yoga was saying “Dave, hey man his name is Yod…” What Yoga was saying is that you’re either committed or you’re not. This class will focus on finding the fun that happens when you fully commit – grabbing onto our ideas and actions and never letting go. No improv experience required. Buy the ticket, take the ride.
David Garcia AKA “Bad Dave” is one bad dude. [Ed. Note: we need more than a one sentence bio, Dave] You can catch Dave at Endgames show #TBT as a member of Endgames house team Chivalry Club and at Night School performing with independent/codependent team Group Text. Dave is also strangely never around whenever the robotic improv duo Merkyl and Derkyl take the stage. He once performed at the Del Close Marathon but due to the high altitude of New York City fainted on stage. Powered by moonlight, Dave stalks the underground sewer system of San Francisco in search of ancient alien artifacts and skeleton gold. He is the arch nemesis of Endgames improviser Michael Manziello.

Endgames improv is about comedy, community, and putting live performances in front of San Francisco. We believe a few things. First, everyone deserves good comedy. Shows shouldn't cost twenty dollars, which is why all our shows cost ten dollars or less. Most of them are five. A lot of them are FREE. Second, we believe in our community of students, performers, and teachers. This is our community, and it can be YOUR community, too. Come be a part of what we do.
