Samantha Saira

Samantha is a Leicester based poet. Her first published work ‘womanhood’ was a poetry book about women and their struggles through everyday life. Her new title ‘My backpack is safe’. (due for release in 2020) is a poetry anthology about her journey to Islam. Samantha is also a public speaker, activist and mother!

Usaama Minhas

Usama is a poet, rapper and actor. In 2013, Usaama released the "Hand in Hand" EP, his self-produced album combining Rap music and Spoken Word poetry, and later that year won the 'Britain's Got Bars' Rap Battle Tournament at French Montana’s show at the indigo at The O2, sharing the stage with Lady Leshurr and Ghetts. Usaama is the 2017 Hammer and Tongue Hackney Slam Champion, and the 2018 Hammer and Tongue National Poetry Slam Champion.
