DocMiami International Film Festival in Partnership with
The Shops at Boca Center and Palm Beach Outdoor Cinema Events will present a Special Screening of, “In The Footsteps of Willie Sutton,” during The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce “Festival Days.” This compelling documentary film chronicles, the criminal ca...reer of Willie Sutton, aka “Slick Willie” aka Willie “The Actor” aka “The Gentleman Bandit” aka “The Babe Ruth of bank robbers,” which spanned over four decades, from the early 1920s into the early 1950s. America’s most famous
bank robber of the twentieth century doesn’t fancy prison accommodations. When he gets caught and confined, he escapes - three times. The film takes us through each of these three prisons today and walks us through his masterful escapes, and will be presented by its Award winning filmmaker Rich Gold. This special Screening will take place at, The Shops at Boca Center on September 5th at 8:00 p.m. VIP tickets for this film are available at http://docmiami.org/ for purchase of $5/ea for reserved chairs with best views of the film with 100% proceeds benefiting DocMiami. Additional free self-seating will be offered in the Courtyard. Audience members can also look forward to a filmmaker Q & A Session after the film. Please note: This film is not yet rated, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
