 Para comemorar o chegarmos a  1000 membros no grupo ScrumPT, terá lugar no próximo dia 21 de Junho de 2012 (Quinta feira) mais um encontro da comunidade. Será nas instalações da Microsoft na Expo, e começará às 14:30 da tarde.


O encontro contará com diversos oradores internacionais como Vasco Duarte (Finlandia), Mitch Lacey (USA), Michael Koster (Alemanha) e oradores Portugueses que irão partilhar a sua experiência local com Scrum.

Vasco Duarte

 Currently an Agile Coach at Avira, Vasco Duarte is an experienced Product and Project 

Manager. Having worked in the software industry since 1997, Vasco has also been an Agile practitioner since 2004, he is one of the leaders and catalysts of Agile methods and Agile  culture adoption at Avira and previously at Nokia and F-Secure. Michael Koester

Michael Koester is a Visual Studio/ALM and developer technologies specialist, coverin

g Western Europe and the UK. He focuses on Microsoft’s application platform and tools and speaks regularly at events and conferences about topics like Cloud development, SharePoint and Silverlight development, Windows Phone 7 development, Windows Azure development and anything related to Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server products.


 Mitch Lacey

 Mitch Lacey is an agile practitioner and consultant and is the founder of Mitch Lacey & Associates, Inc., a software consulting and training firm. Mitch specializes in helping companies realize gains in efficiency by adopting agile principles and practices such as Scrum and Extreme Programming.
Mitch is a self-described “tech nerd” who started his technology career in 1991 at Accolade Software in San Jose, CA, a computer gaming company. After working as a software test engineer, a test manager, a developer, and a variety of other jobs in between, he settled on his true calling, project and program management.

 Ricardo Nascimento

 Ricardo Nascimento has 5 years of experience working in projects with Agile Scrum. He has a degree in Computer Science and is Post-Graduated in Project Management. Currently he is working as a Project Manager & Leader of the Software Engineering Area @InnoWave Technologies.


Ricardo’s session abstract: This presentation will show a real example of a project running in three different sites: Lisbon, Madrid and Tokyo. In Lisbon the project is running over an Agile Scrum methodology by in the other two places it’s running in Waterfall. The objective is to compare both work methodologies in this project and show the benefits of using Scrum as a work daily basis.



Hugo de Sousa

Hugo de Sousa does his passion (work in the IT industry) since 1998. He did almost everything, going up the stairs, in IT, starting by help-desk/field-support, systems and network administration, infrastructures architect, software developer, software analyst, project manager, consulting, IT Manager and CIO (Turismo de Portugal, I.P, having won international prizes like the Agility Award and a nomination to the CIO Ones to Watch from He is also an invited teacher in a Portuguese University (ISEG/UTL).

Lately he embraced a challenge as Business Unit Manager of Gfi and he is also responsible for the Microsoft practice in Portugal. Gfi is one of the biggest IT Consulting companies in Europe.

Hugo's Session Abstract: Based on J.D. Meier’s book “Geeting Results the Agile Way”, Hugo will show how he is managing is whole life with a methodology based on the principles of Agile. Hugo believes that nowadays it’s not possible to survive without being truly very organized and he will explain why and how to have competitive advantage only by having a method and being disciplined.
