Enabling Minds Logo Launch Party!! Fundraiser for our students in Haiti!!!
Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (EST)
In Haiti, children with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (IDD) are rarely enrolled in school and are given few opportunities to reach their potential. This October, Enabling Minds began to help change that fact by helping to enroll 15 students with IDD into the St. Charles Borromeo school in Croix-des-Bouquets, most of whom had never been given the opportunity to attend school! We are now up to 22 enrolled students with IDD, and have already successfully integrated 7 students into a general education classroom setting! Come join friends on the evening of December 15th for food, drinks, entertainment, and fun surprises as we unveil our new logo and help to raise funds to support our kids!!
And please help us as we check items off our holiday wish list for our classroom in Haiti! http://amzn.com/w/2SUXWE4W1UDZ8

When & Where
We are a group of concerned citizens who strive to improve the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities in underserved regions by promoting tolerance and understanding. We seek to establish sustainable solutions through educational, vocational and health and wellness support, while enabling concerned volunteers and stakeholders to collaborate in empowering these individuals.
Currently we have a partnership with the St. Charles Borromeo School in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti to start the first class for children with intellectual disabilities in the Santos 19 section of Croix-des-Bouquets. We are also partnering with the Special Olympics Haiti to enroll these 11 children in a sport training practice program.
