Event description

Description

In this workshop we will learn about the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) - a $17,000,000 federal government granting program that aims to help businesses improve accessibility for people with disabilities in the community and in the workforce through leveraged capital investments. You will leave with:

  • an understanding of the different funding streams based on previous years
  • understanding of what projects might be eligible and how to describe them so they fit with the funding goals
  • a sample application we will fill out together
  • ideas for what types of supporting documentation you need

The morning workshop will be at the Mad Musher (10am-12noon)

(CANCELLED The afternoon workshop will be at Spectacle Lake Lodge (2:00-4:00pm) CANCELLED)

Bring a pen with you. I'll bring copies of the application form so you can practice.

Note that this grant program is renewed on an annual basis and there are currently no open calls for proposal for 2019 yet. Based on last year's program, anticipated deadlines would be in May, July and September. In the unfortunate event that the EAF program is not renewed this year, the skills you learn here can be applied to future grant programs.
