Empty Bowls McKinney 2022
Event Information
About this event
How do you respond to hunger in our community?
- Community Lifeline Center responds by distributing nearly 20 times more food than they did pre-pandemic. CLC distributed over 900,000 lbs of food in 2021 compared to 50,000 lbs of food only two years ago.
- Community Garden Kitchen responds by serving hot meals to anyone in need, no questions asked.
You can respond to fill empty bowls and have a fun-filled evening at the same time:
Join us at the 11th Annual Empty Bowls McKinney for our showcase of one-of-a-kind bowls handcrafted by professional artists, student artists, and community members. For the price of admission, guests enjoy a sampling of gourmet soups & sweets and take home a one-of-a-kind handmade "empty" bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community due to hunger. The money we raise at our event supports these two great charities that are striving to end food insecurity in our community.
All food vendors will be outside and the bowl room will be inside the McKinney Performing Arts Center.
