"There is a wonderful grassroots movement called "Empty Bowls" growing around the country with a mission to feed the hungry, disadvantaged and homeless. It's based on the international Empty Bowls program.
In Clarksville, volunteers paint and donate bowls, which are chosen to take home after a fundraiser meal of soup and bread. These bowls serve as reminders of empty bowls in our community.
Empty Bowls Clarksville supports Loaves & Fishes and Urban Ministries, two non-profit organizations working to feed Clarksville's hungry. Empty Bowls Clarksville is committed to raising the awareness of hunger in our community, and this goal is achieved through bowl-painting parties during the year, and the fundraising meal on last Tuesday of February each year. Please join us."
