Session 1: How to build relationships, family as a team
Session 2: How to listen and have productive conversations
Session 3: How to make healthy choices and understand emotions
Session 4: How your child’s circle impacts their resilience/future/success
Session 5: How to find your people: community resources and supports
Session 6: How to set meaningful goals and plan for success
Session 7: How substance misuse changes your brain and derails your future
Session 8: How empathy and teamwork serve to protect teens futures
Session 9: How your family can make a difference in your community
Session 10: Speaker week!
Registration Period: May 10, 2023 - June 13, 2023 (closes at 5:00 pm)
Program Schedule: Starting June 6, 2023 | Tuesdays from 6-8 pm (Via Zoom!)
The NC 4-H Empowering Youth and Families Program (EYFP) is a family leadership program for middle school youth and their caregivers. Participating families attend 10 weekly sessions and a family retreat. Each session has been carefully designed to address the unique needs of youth, caregivers, and families. Weekly meetings include fun team building activities, and social time with other families in the program.
