Event description

Description

The Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Language and Literacy (CISLL) is sponsoring a grant writing program during the 2017-18 academic year. This semester the CISLL seminar sessions will consist of three meetings which will be held on Friday afternoons.

Empowering research through Grant Writing is intended to build the capacity of NIU personnel to pursue research grants from federal and other agencies (e.g., National Science Foundation, Institute of Education Sciences, National Institutes of Health). The program is intended to assist individuals who would like to submit a grant during the 2018-2019 academic year.

Over the course of the program, participants will develop a specific, potentially-fundable research project related to CISLL’s mission. Participants will attend informational talks as well as hands-on sessions with mentors who will provide feedback.
