Empowered To Connect Simulcast 2017: Williamsville, NY
Fri, April 7, 2017, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM EDT
At the Empowered To Connect Conference, together with Show Hope, you will experience practical teaching designed to equip families, churches, and professionals to better understand how to connect with “children from hard places” including children impacted by adoption and foster care, in a safe and supportive community in order to help them heal.
This two-day conference event features Trust-Based Relational Intervention® methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the TCU Institute of Child Development to help bring attachment and connection in families.
The general admission ticket grants you access to the full conference, both Friday and Saturday. If you plan on attending both days, please purchase the Friday ticket.
If you are an adoptive/foster parent, ministry partner or other, not a licensed social worker or other professional, and need a certificate verifying that I attended the conference for my agency please ensure you do not leave the conference without receiving your certificate. These will be distributed at the simulcast venue.
** "One change in 2017 is that the National Association of Social Workers now considers the simulcast a distance learning event. This classification will require professionals desiring credit from NASW to complete a posttest after attending the conference. Additional details will be sent to registered professionals and they must indicate they would like to pursue this option when registering.
Approval for the 2017 live event is confirmed. This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval # 886649357-4586) for 11 continuing education contact hours.
Approval for the simulcast is pending and will be considered a distance-learning event, which requires a post-test." **
