Empowered to Connect Live Simulcast

Journey Church is excited to host the Empowered To Connect Conference Live Simulcast at our Kenosha campus. This is a two-day conference designed to help adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders, churches, and professionals better understand how to connect with “children from hard places” in order to help them heal and become all that God desires for them to be. It features Trust-Based Relational InterventionR (TBRI) methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, to help bring attachment and connection in families.
The content is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care, and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, and therapists.
Check-in will be at 8:30 am with the conference beginning promptly at 9:00 am and ending at 5:00 pm both days. Lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided with your registration You will also receive a workbook that includes key takeaways from each conference presentation, helpful charts and diagrams as well as space to record notes.
