EMPLOYING STAFF AND THE LAW
Ensuring your business remains legally compliant throughout the recruitment and employment process.
Has your business got plans to grow its workforce in the coming years? Let us help you keep your business legally compliant throughout the recruitment process.
From understanding what can and can't be written in job adverts, how to write effective job descriptions, through to why a contract of employment is so important and tips about what to include in your company handbook; we will cover all elements of the recruitment process from start to finish to ensure you remain on the right side of the law, and minimise any future staffing difficulties.
The workshop will be hosted by Chrissa Wadlow, Managing Director of Sunshine Recruitment.
Chrissa has more than 12 years experience as a recruiter-headhunter and has consulted on business growth, recruitment processes and exit strategies during her time recruiting for national and international businesses.
Chrissa has managed her own businesses for over 8 years, having gained her business management expertise from her experience of managing teams for large independent recruitment agencies and inhouse recruitment provisions.
Chrissa continues to advise on the recruitment process for clients of her own business, Sunshine Recruitment, in the East Midlands.
Guest speaker at the workshop, covering all elements of Employment Law is Samantha Cotter from Knights Professional Services.
Samantha is a Senior Associate in the Employment team at Knights, and has worked both in-house and in private practice.
Samantha advises on both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters and specialises in; negotiating settlement agreements for both employers and employees, employment law matters in the civil courts, advising on TUPE, employment tribunal claims acting for both individuals and companies, devising and where required presenting training for clients on a variety of employment related matters; disciplinary and grievances; and equality and diversity amongst others.
Combining the expertise of both Chrissa and Samantha, we aim to provide you with all you need to know about employing staff and remaining lawful.
