Event description
Learn how the healthcare system extracts value from organizations & how to pay less for higher quality healthcare.

About this Event

Nobody disputes that the U.S. healthcare system is dysfunctional. Yet few know that American companies and families are the ones financing this broken system. At its core, the problem is about misaligned incentives, which have encouraged an excessive amount of “middlemen,” bureaucracy, and rent-seeking behavior. And in the age of COVID19, analysts expect 2021 to push health insurance premiums and deductibles even higher.

There is a way out of this madness! The solution is neither radical nor new. It’s a story of returning to our roots; demanding that our healthcare system play by the same rules as every other industry, and ensuring our healthcare dollars remain local and actually flow to those providing the care. After attending, you will immediately be able to:

  • Identify where the dysfunction in your healthcare plan lies
  • Understand how to pay less for higher quality healthcare
  • Demonstrate leadership in your organization with your new knowledge

Attendees will gain a top-level understanding of how the U.S. healthcare system extracts value from their organizations. They will learn about commonsense, straightforward solutions to this problem, and can be the ones to improve their organization’s health plan.

Megan Narrance has over 15 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. She is a fee-only employee benefits advisor who helps self-funded companies maximize the value in their health plans. What drives her is a passion to eliminate the greed and waste endemic in American health insurance, and to help employees get the healthcare they need without sacrificing 20% or more of their take-home pay. Prior to starting her own company in 2015, she worked at MCM (now Assured Partners) and Brown & Brown Insurance, where she was consistently ranked in the top 10% of benefits consultants locally and across the nation.

Megan's specialties include: Self-funded insurance plan design and improvement, plan funding analysis, member (employee) communication, direct primary care, direct employer-provider contracts, community health plans, and reference-based pricing.
