Juan and Darryl Cabana from the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program will present an overview to employers about all aspects of UI Claims. The topics of discussion will include the claim filing process, benefit determinations, an overview of the appeal process, and how to protect the employer's reserve account. 


Registration fee includes lunch, workshop materials, and parking. Tickets are not refundable. Space is limited. Advance registration is preferred. 

 

Speaker:

Juan Garcia and Darryl Cabana are both UI program managers with the Employment Development Department (EDD). Together they have more than 27 years of experience working with claimants and employers in processing UI claims. Their expertise includes claim filing, determinations, adjustments, appeals, and overpayments. In addition to managing UI offices, both are well versed with the EDD's vision, mission, and values.    


Additional Information: 

The High Desert Employer Advisory Council annual membership fee is $60, which includes reduced workshop rates and access to the CEAC Management Hotline.
