Event description

Description

It has been reported that Inland Revenue Board (IRB) plans to increase its penalty to 100% for individuals and companies who evade paying their taxes or misreported tax. IRB has announced that the penalty rate for evasion of tax and under-reporting of income will be increased from 45% to 100% on the unpaid taxes starting 2018.

The "Employer and Employees Tax Compliance" workshop is designed for both employers and their employees. It aims to help participants understand the Malaysia income tax rules relating to the taxation of employment income and equip them with the knowledge to design a tax-efficient remuneration package for their employees.

What are the tax benefits, tax implications and tax saving (legally) of having a sound and comprehensive HR-Tax planning? Emphasis is placed on helping companies comply with the reporting requirements so as to avoid unnecessary penalties for non-compliance.

Practical examples, illustrations and case studies will be used to enable participants to relate and apply to real life tax situations.
