Description

Classes are free to currently active employees of Jay Peak Resort and advanced registration is required.

Students bring their own yoga mat & sturdy blanket.
Don't have a mat?
We'll will hook you up with a branded mat and carrying case for $10 - request it on the registration page.



Classes will incorporate methods of building mindfulness through breath-work and stillness, as well as yoga postures and movements that build body awareness, strength and flexibility. These classes are adaptable to students of all levels and abilities. With an emphasis on you as an individual and your needs, this class will allow you to explore what is right for your body and your mind, as that may change each time you show up on your yoga mat.



Your class will be hosted by Joanne Dennis of J Mountain Yoga.

Joanne has been practicing yoga for 20 years and completed her 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training at Laughing River Yoga in Burlington, VT in May of 2017. She holds a Bachelor degree in Anthropology from the University of Vermont and Masters degree in Archaeology from the University of Denver.

Joanne's teaching philosophy is that yoga is a practice of self-care and self-discovery. She strongly believes that yoga is for Every Body; no matter shape, size, age or ability. She feels it is her job as a teacher to guide students to realize what is best for them and to safely and purposefully develop their yoga practice in a way that nourishes their body, mind and soul while discovering the benefits of yoga throughout their daily lives.
