Empire Toastmasters Open House

Special Open House meeting on June 7th, 2017, with guest speaker Nia Davenport! Nia is an Advanced Communicator Bronze status achiever and a former Empire member! She has led several speaking engagements on financial management and published articles in national magazines.
The meeting is scheduled to start (promptly) at 11:45 am. Guests are requested to arrive early (about 11:30 am) to leave time for registration and introductions. Light snacks will be provided. There will be time for Q&A at the end of the session.
The event will follow a typical agenda so guests can get a feel for a usual Toastmasters meeting.
Toastmasters helps improve public speaking skills, build confidence, develop and refine leadership skills and hone critical listening skills. These skills are essential in situations such as professional career presentations, fund raising pitches, teaching, job interviews, demonstrations, coaching, and social conversations. Attend a meeting to learn how Toastmasters can help you improve your public speaking skills! RSVP is recommended, but not required.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The meeting room is at the corner of Glade St. and West End Blvd. The YMCA parking lot has ample parking during our meeting hours and is free of charge. It is easiest to park in the small lot on the corner of Glade and West End Blvd. If this lot is full because of the event, please park in the front parking lot. You can then walk through the main entrance and the lobby to get to the West End Room.
What can I bring into the event?
Just a fun, friendly and learning attitude (and maybe a notepad!) :)
