Empath Concerts: Classism
Event Information
Event description
Description
Empath's second concert of the season is centered around the topic of Classism, featuring Empath Co-Founders, violinist Celaya Kirchner and cellist Emma Hays Johnson. It'll be a night of violin/cello duos that explore how music tackles the clash of the classes, including works by Bach, Bartok, and Ravel.
Following the performance will be an audience-driven discussion, giving a unique opportunity for concert-goers to directly engage with not only the performers but their fellow art-lovers. Contributions of food and drinks for the potluck reception would be much appreciated.
Merriam-Webster definition of Classism:
prejudice or discrimination based on class
