Event Details

The Border Theatre and Glasbox are proud to present a production of Aaron Mark's Empanada Loca, a one woman show inspired by the legend of Sweeney Todd performed by Guadalupe Campos.

Tickets are $8 online, $10 at the door. The play contains strong adult language. This event is BYOB.

Guadalupe Campos is an El Paso native who initially performed the play as her thesis project in completion of her MFA at The University of Arkansas and she is excited to share this work with the El Paso community.

Her recent regional credits include ensemble and understudy roles in Amadeus, Hamlet (TheatreSquared), The Quest for Don Quixote and Just Like Us (NWA New Play Festival) and Empanada Loca (Self Produced). University credits include The Motherfucker With the Hat, Twelfth Night, The Cherry Orchard, Kin, Time Stands Still and The Clean House (University of Arkansas), Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Othello, The Seagull, Three Musketeers, Some Girls, The Balcony and Dracula (University of Texas El Paso). She is a member of 5 Months Pregnant, a NorthWest Arkansas based long form improv group and has studied at the UBC Training Center in NYC. Guadalupe holds a B.F.A in Theatre from the University of Texas El Paso and a M.F.A in Drama from the University of Arkansas.

Empanada Loca was originally produced by Labyrinth Theater Company (Mimi O’Donnell, Artistic Director; Danny Feldman, Executive Director) in Fall 2015.
