Emotional CPR (eCPR) is a public health education program that teaches people to assist someone experiencing an emotional crisis through three simple steps:
C = Connecting
E = emPowering
R = Revitalizing
Connecting involved listening, practicing presence and creating safety.
Empowering inspires feeligns of hope and being engaged in life.
Revitalizing reengages relationships with loved ones and support systems, begins or resumes routines of health and well-being, reinforces a sense of mastery and accomplishment, energized emotional healing, inspires creativity and promotes belonging to the community.
Who should attend:This training is designed for anyone who is interested in learning how to support others through an emotional crisis. It is recommended for peers, human services professionals, school personnel, public safety staff, community organizations, faith based communities, family and friends of individuals with mental health issues.

*Please note that this is a certification workshop and participants will be required to demonstrate proficiency with eCPR to receive certification. Role-plays and active participation are required for this workshop.

Allies of Indiana
Allies of Indiana is a not-for-profit, Peer-Run organization founded in August 2012 as a partnership between KEY Consumer Organization and InteCare, Inc. Allies of Indiana was formed to bring innovative peer-run initiatives that promote recovery in the community for all to Indiana. This community-based, Peer-Run focus can be seen through the mission of Allies of Indiana:
A Peer-Run community-based organization that provides recovery inspiration, hope, support, and education to individuals working toward mental and lifestyle wellness.
Allies of Indiana has a Peer-Run Board of Directors and an Advisory Board with membership from the community to help guide us in our pursuit of recovery and wellness for all. The Allies of Indiana leadership team consists of key staff from the two partnering organizations. Their combined experience provides Allies of Indiana with over 40 years of recovery-oriented experience to guide Allies IN Recovery as they successfully implement Peer-Run initiatives in Indiana.
