Description

As a parent, issues big and small impact our child. While addressing physical injury is critical, it may be even more crucial to attend to the pain we can’t see on the outside. Discover the 3 secrets of Emotional CPR, used to assess and address a child’s everyday emotional scrapes, bumps, and bruises and treat previous trauma scars. Offering immediate emotional first aid for: bullying or abuse anxiety, depression or aggression, divorce or family fallout social, school or sports stress mental health challenges (either diagnosed or suspected). This class supplies the life-saving skills of Emotional 911. Geared for parents of children ages 8-18.

When: Tuesday, January 15th from 6:30PM to 8:00PM

Where: JUMP Inspire Studio on the fourth floor, take a right out of the elevators and head towards the big Inspire sign.

Cost: $10 This is part of our Connecting Community Program Series where members of the community share their passions and talents in order to connect and inspire.

Laura Sonderegger is an emotional health therapist, integrating the most effective techniques from her training in a host of emotional healing treatments. Transforming lives through a thriving private practice, along with workshops and events, Laura guides both children and adults to overcome past trauma and mend present drama.

Laura delights in sunshine, singing, and smiles. A four-season outdoor enthusiast with her adventurous husband and three children, Laura lives for beach days and boating. Every hosting gatherings, Laura enjoys bringing people together and connecting one-on-one. Her superpowers are "heart healer" and "monster cookie" maker.

What is JUMP?

JUMP – or Jack’s Urban Meeting Place – is a not-for-profit, interactive creative center and community gathering place in the heart of downtown Boise. Please go to jumpboise.org to learn more and join our newsletter so you are in the know on fun, spontaneous happenings at JUMP.

JUMP is a dynamic and innovative space and safety is our first priority. Please monitor your children and keep them safe at all times.


Personal Release Statement: I understand that the activities and services related to my participation may have an element of hazard or inherent danger and I take full responsibility for my actions and physical condition. I agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless JUMP and its directors, officers, contractors and employees from any liability loss, cost or expense (including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees, medical and ambulance costs) that I may incur while participating in the activities. JUMP will not tolerate any unlawful use of copyright material. Liability for such unauthorized use shall rest solely with the producer. The participant further agrees to hold harmless JUMP for damages arising out of such claims. I assume the liability of and agree to compensate JUMP for any damages other than normal wear and tear of the facility and equipment. When entering the JUMP premises, you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording will occur. By entering these premises, you consent to all recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction to be used for any JUMP purpose. I further waive my rights to all claims in connection with any JUMP publication, regardless of its purpose. JUMP is not responsible for replacing lost, misplaced, stolen or damaged belongings and valuables; therefore, JUMP recommends that visitors bring only essential items to the facility.


What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?


You may bus, bike, drive, walk, skip, etc. Check Boise's bus schedule at www.valleyride.org. We love bikers and have beautiful bike racks to secure your ride. If you plan to drive, paid parking is available on the 3rd and 4th levels of the JUMP parking garage or in Simplot's below ground parking garage, both accessible from the Myrtle Street entrance located between 11th and 9th Streets. Please note, the below ground parking garage is only available after 4PM until 6AM on weekdays and all day on weekends. Credit/debit cards accepted only.


Do you have accommodations for people with disabilities?

Absolutely. We support the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and encourage participation by everyone. If you require special accommodations to participate in our programs or to use our facilities, please view the JUMP Building Map to locate accessible parking spaces or call 208.639.6610 for additional information.

What is the refund policy?

We depend on your enrollment for a successful class so please plan your schedule carefully. Classes which do not meet minimum enrollment are subject to cancellation. Refunds are issued in full if the class or program is cancelled, if you cancel at least seven days before the starting date of the class, or for documented medical reasons. Please email programs@jumpboise.org to request a refund.
